"At the end of the day, it isn’t where I came from. Maybe home is somewhere I’m going and never have been before."

Avalanche

Stormy thoughts drip on snow fields of paper, curling
into compulsive words, glinting like diamonds.

Words emboss over words saturating all language. The page darkens and the soft white snow turns black glazed ice.

I dip my finger in rays of iridescent moonshine hence and
begin to write with the ink of light.

Ivory on ebony or ebony on ivory, the poem is sacred and
shall continue. An ode to my much adored Muse.

हर नए मोड पर एक सवेरा मिला... एक अंधेरा मिला... एक सवेरा मिला... एक अंधेरा मिला..."

Brahmnaad

I found God in sound,
singing in the voice of the lark,
rising from the twirl of a breeze,
through the winds afluttering,
like a cherub stuttering.

I found God in sound.
In my best friend's silly bantering,
in the embrace of her ample anchoring.
swirling through the whistle of a kettle,
curling through the somersaulting of rivers,
in all the illusions shattering,
in the morning bird's chattering

In the resonance of temple bells
pealing Aum Aum Aum!
I found God in sound.
It rhymes with Home. Home. Home.

Plant roses in another's eye
and chrysanthemums in their smile.
And then
watch yourself bloom.
