The pitter patter of rain drops

It has been so long but
The thunder still crashes across the sky,
The lightning of the rain
Matches the battle in my mind..
It has been so long but
This heart has not been able to make up its mind,
For the aroma of petrichor fills the air,
And so do those of the pakoras and chai!
It has been so long,
So maybe its fine to break this diet,
After all its monsoon,
And what suits better than pakoras and tea- a meal so light!-
