“Milk”shake

Papi had forgotten to take his pills yet again. He wouldn't register much of what we would say and took time to process words. But he'd often be stubborn and demanding. All we had to do was take proper care of him and I loved doing that.
The dipping sun brushed his crinkled skin in an amber-yellow. His grey eyes glowed like an eager beaver in need of sugar. “I want two marshmallows and a chocolate milkshake. I'll take the pills, then.”
