The Maple 🍁 leaf

Akin to the fall leaf
I turned color
Lost the life vigor
I will burn easy
Is my only relief.

When my mother sees a maple leaf
She gently holds it and then suddenly weeps
It reminds her when she was 'forced' to leave home
It reminds her when they all were alone
It reminds her of 'her gardens' maple leaf
It reminds her when she was thrown out of her home because of her 'belief'

सिर्फ़ संयोग नहीं है ये
निश्चित ही नियति का इसमें कोई भेद है
कोई प्रारुप है जिसे
वो पहनाना चाहती है
नहीं तो कैसे सम्भव था ये
कि दिनकर निशा से मिले

The first one to fall,
No!, I was the only one that fell.
Watching them from below,
my heart aches,
my soul fades slowly
and my melanin drained....
Like this withered maple leaf.
