I wanted to write about it,
But all I felt was to cry over it,
As my curiosity grows as to how sudden it happened,
I become strong and summon courage to jot the grief.

I felt sad,
And went through hell feeling it.

You gave me Àyànfẹ́,
Believing I was the chosen One,
Filled with mirth and self-confidence,
Forgetting birds only wait for feathers.

I was weak,
And passed through pains being so.

I was happy and pleased during those moments with you,
Not knowing the pleasure will last till you bid farewell,
And I learnt very late afterward,
That pains from love last forever.

I was tricked,
And it took me time paying the price.

I wish I were a little boy,
Since skinned knees are easily fix than a broken heart,
And I knew well that my heart will never be the same,
But I'm telling myself I'll be okay.

I was taught,
Even though it took me nights to decipher.

Àyànfẹ́,
Someone said it suits me and I'm adopting it,
To commend the boneless tongue,
Which was capable of breaking a heart.
