ODE TO A DAMSELFLY
The immense holt in the wilderness,
With flora and fauna greatly bless,
Under God’s ethereal firmament,
Creeks, brooks and firth remain prevalent,
Heaven’s nature coexists with pride,
Coherently curated in stride,
The unrelenting sun soldiers on,
Until the dew and mist have long gone.

A damselfly dances like magic,
Its agility defies logic,
The sylphy nymph manifests pure charm,
Whilst trying to elude grief and harm,
Cool flowing waters inspire the mind,
Even the clouds hang o’er, you’ll still find,
As dusk evolves, sunbeams will prevail,
Let the moon spin an astounding tale.

Masks the past with a yawn,
Wipes out every strife.

The scent of aurora,
Brings bright blissful smiles,
Veils feuds with good aura,
Sends off grudges for miles.

uncharitable views
of men and things?
Then, travel
the world!

A significantly global erratic
and dramatic climate change.

Gleaming stars on a moonlit night,
Creating such a beautiful sight,
Illuminating the wide firmament,
Pray this feature will be permanent.

Those dear feelings I’ll always miss,
Weaving wonderful memories,
Into a vivid memorable bond,
As a reminder of you I’m fond.

Creaking, cracking, clicking and crackling,
Popping sound in my knees, oh...so bony,
You found pleasure in permanently residing.

You visited me as often as you could,
Bringing along swelling and pain,
Your friendliness dampened my mood,
I hope you would never drop by again.

A tranquil state where the mind aligns
with the heart and soul.

The second month has steered in silently,
Without a fanfare nor heralded,
It lets us reflect on January,
Of happenings that have unfolded.

The shortest month has been served and sent,
In the blink of an eye, almost unnoticed,
Let’s make a conscientious effort to repent,
For all misunderstandings to be ceased.
