I am grateful today for the 365 days that was filled with just the right amount of lessons and mistakes that has made me older, wiser and bolder.

never be outgrown.

Like writing; you may need a
break to rejuvenate your thoughts
or to change form altogether
but whatever the tide,
the pen continues to swirl.

November walks in
like a sultry nurse
with an injection hid
behind her back.
While you are enamoured
for her,
she jabs you with
a cold prick.

I stayed on
to give
your pride another try.

Alone, I turned
to you.
You refused to turn.

The only problem with love is its volatility.
It evaporates when left to boil
and freezes when left alone.
