fraught with doubt, like

in the stream of a unidirectional time

Mastigating phantom food,
I steal my eyes from tomorrow's
expectations, people asking
what do you want to do in life
like they poke an insect
just to see what it does.

Being unemployed, you learn,
better to not get out of house,

of preposterous poking people
