On odd days, you'll be awed by a childhood souvenir that replenished a forgotten memory and you'll browse through more souvenirs for more recollections. That's why, your grandparents study your features by clasping your arms.

I am sure I'll grow insane if I follow these creaky trees, these branches that reveal the birthmark on her chin, the swirls and curls of her hair, the zigzag rings, the pinches she landed on my chin, the way she nudged me when I lost, the crackling laughter, the grunts, the clinking purse, the glittery bangles, the crimson hips, oh, the limitless torments and distress.

Our intimate history will always be sealed away in an oblivious box in my mind. But sometimes, when you still pop up in social networks, forgive me for strolling near the river of memories that leaks through the box for I am a starfish, perched on the grainy sands of the bank, hurled away by the currents, trying, sighing and grieving.

Illiteracy and Negligence; two of the most venomous germs, when combined together, directs a human being to trod down the road of perdition leading to atrocious attitudes towards the bejeweled souls of mother earth. One such incidents occurred in Delhi and its outcry still resonates throughout the citizens of India. The harrowing details of the incident carves a deep trench in me and I feel ashamed to be of the same gender, that slayed a beautiful mermaid. Its true that her absence makes our heart grow fonder towards her.

Animals have an explicit ability to recognize their partner's presence by sniffing their essence. We were out on a date when you heard about your friend's accident. You were dismantled through your annihilated wails, those hefty tears disfigured your makeup and all I could do was lend you a shoulder. Due to some unexplained anomaly, nowadays, when I close my eyes in the makeup section of a supermarket, those memories flash through and I remember every alluring moment we had. Does that make me an animal too?
