बहुत दर्द हुआ आज फिर से इस दिल को,
जब देखा उन बदनसीब बच्चो को,
जो तरसते है हर रोज़ दो वक़्त के खाने को,
और कई रात भूखे पेट जाते है सोने को |

फिर से पूछा आज मेने अपने आप को,
क्या सच में दीखता नहीं ये भगवन को?
पर बाद में जाना उसके इस परीक्षा को,
जिसमे देखना चाहता है वो हमारी इंसानियत को |

क्या हमने पूछा है कभी ये अपने आप को,
की जिनके पास है हैसियत थोड़ी सी भी देने को,
क्या वो नहीं नहीं कर सकते मदद इन नन्हे फरिस्तो को?
क्या इनके अंदर दीखते नहीं भगवान इस इंसान को?

जब हमारी वजह से मिलता है ख़ुशी किसी और को,
तब सच में बड़ा सुकून मिलता है इस दिल को |
