Tell me the story of the flamboyant Jay Gatsby,
& that magical boy who was called Harry,
& Holden, the wandering confused boy
from The Catcher in the Rye;
of Atticus & Scout Finch,
& the Christmas stealing Grinch,
& Mom & Dad & Calvin & Hobbes,
& how Dilbert & Dogbert kept their jobs;
of the book thieving Liesel, & her friend Death,
& the wuthering affair of Cathy & Heathcliff,
& the contrasting torment of Celie & Anna
from The Colour Purple & Tolstoy’s Karenina;
Of allegory in Orwell’s Animal Farm
& how it reflects on Russia of the time,
& how the Thought Police & Big Brother
made the dystopia of 1984 better;
of Saruman the White, & Gandalf the Grey
& the fellowship that set out to throw the ring away,
of Amir and Hassan flying kites in Kabul
& how Dorian’s hedonistic lifestyle bid farewell;
of Forty Rules of Love of Tabrez & Rumi,
& the crazy Arthur Dent in Hitchhiker’s Guide to Galaxy,
& the individualistic Howard in The Fountainhead,
& the heartbreak from knowing that Dumbledore was dead;
tell me the story of everyone you know
your favourite literary characters, complicated or shallow,
those who left a mark & speak to you the most
tell me the story of the ones in your ethos!

That's, at the top, 'the' fountain
To satiate your simmering thirst
And wow all that was the worst.

It's surrounded by many a molehill,
Let go of fears, just go for the kill:
You won't from there look down
At your own unfatigued clown.

Between you and the Sky,
There was just a failing lie:
Within you works a Samson in sly,
That you discover by and by.

Faith has a true tiring scaith
Unless you let go of naked Math.

Dhara
Where else could I seek a perennial fountainhead,
If not for the bliss that springs from my eyes!
