To by bestfriend in 10 std. I was sure that we won't be together in future as we both had decided to go on different career paths. So I wrote a letter of gratitude to him for being a part of my life and making it special. But after giving him that letter he didn't even say a word and just kept it in his bag and left. After seeing such a cold reaction from him I mentally cursed myself for writing that stupid letter.

Dear 2020,
It's me Samiksha, remember??? Hope you know how lazy you've made me in and forced me to stick to my phone the whole day and you even made me cry through many incidents from someone death to locking up myself.
But I'm even thankful to you in a way that you made me experience my responsibilities and helped me find my capabilities. You taught me what socializing meant in my life. Dear, you made me cry, smile,laugh and enjoy with my family. You made me realize, who will be there for me at my hardest time of my life and who will disappear without even smile. Dear 2020 thank you for making me realize all these stuff and just a small request just end up soon.

Dear happiness,
I'm always trying to have you and I often gain you. I also know that You are as glad to have me as I am to have you. Stress, anxiety and depression are trying to replace you day by day but my efforts go on. I keep on writing my thoughts around you to spread your importance in life and I don't know whether I succeed or not.
Different people have different concept about you. Some says, “It is very difficult to gain happiness.” another says, “It is not my cup of tea.” and again other says, “we have to sacrifice our happiness to succeed.” and more like that. The reason for all these thoughts may be to give more importance to something else than happiness or may be to compare oneself to others.
Is it not right to use happiness as a medium to succeed? Is it not wrong to compromise today's happiness for tomorrow's happiness? Is it not right to accept the present as our happiness?

I hope I would have given a great lesson through you.🙏🙏

You are like the unrequited and forbidden first love. I am afraid to initiate. It's risky.
My overthinking self wonders if I would ever be able to sew my story in enough words to satisfy the quench. I await for the words to appear, the consistency and a spark to bear.
