मेरे ख़्वाब की कहानी किसी रोज़ सुनाएँगे आज ये सुनिए कि वो कितना प्यारा था।
उससे ही थी हमारे बाग़वान में ख़ुशहाली वो इस जहां में हमको सबसे प्यारा था।

उसके होने का एहसास स्वर्ग में होने की अनुभूति से कम न था हमको साथियों।
उसके लिए तो एक नहीं सौ श-सौ बार हमने हर एक न्याय दरबार को ललकारा था।

वो थी तो हर मौसम सुहावना और हर पल गुनगुनाते बसंत का अनुभव होता था।
इस दर्द भरी मतलबी दुनिया में तन्हाई के आलम में एक वो ही हमारा सहारा था।

फ़रेब, मुफ़लिसी, बेचैनी, तकलीफ़, अज़ाब के लम्हों में बस उसी की उम्मीद थी।
गर्दिश-ओ-मौत के बेजान मुश्किल पलों में हमारे लिए वो सुकून का फुहारा था।

एक एक करके तो सबने पहले हाथ और फिर साथ भी छोड़ ही दिया था हमारा।
बे गैरत सी इस ज़िंदगी से तंग आकर कब का डूब चुके होते हम, वहीं सहारा था।

मेहनत, मज़दूरी, आव-भगत, हाथ जोड़कर नमन सब कुछ किया था हमने यारां।
पर इस ढकोसले भरी बनावटी, दिखावटी दुनिया को ये संग अपना गँवारा ना था।

जानता हूँ "अभि" कि आज भी वो ज़ख्म हर और वो दर्द आज तक ताज़ा है तुम्हारा।
कि जब तक हम ज़िंदा है तब तक तुम्हारे तन्हाई के साथ रहेंगे ये वादा रहा हमारा।
