खुद के टुकड़ों को हमने दिल मे दबाकर रखा है,
अपने ज़ख्मो को हमने छुपाकर रखा है,
कुरेद ना दे कोई उन ज़ख्मो को, इसीलिए
हमने उनके निशान मिटाकर रखा है,
न कर दे मेरे गम ग़मज़दा किसी को,
बस इसलिए चेहरे पर मुस्कान सज़ा कर रखा है,
दर्द-ए-ज़िन्दगी बयां कर दे जो मंज़र,
उस मंज़र पर भी पर्दा गिराकर रखा है....
