There is a lot to be gained by being focussed and moving in a fixed direction towards an established goal. Detours – an instant gratification – only bring misery and distract you from your supposed ‘path’.
They can however, also be healthy - serving to break the monotony of a routine existence. Indulging once in a while can have an uplifting effect on the mind. Who wouldn’t agree to that? The human mind or the heart for that matter is engineered to be vagabond – to act impulsively.
But the problem arises when detours themselves have child detours and you fall recursively for them too. It is like entering deep into a maze. You are then at the mercy of Chance – to try all permutations and combinations to get back to the ‘path’ is exhaustive and saps you.
Now, would you like an existence entrapped in a maze – trying to get to the ‘path’, or would you rather walk the trodden ‘path’ without any sense of adventure?
It seems like you don’t have much of a choice.
I don’t envy you.-
The rejections you face today,
are the redirections you need to something better!-
Leaving back all those detours...
Traversing over all the contours...
Moving steps in search of nothing...
So as to live little and everything!!!-
सफर यहीं तक का नहीं है
बस राहत भरी नींद चाहिए
मुकम्मल होंगे ख्याब सारे
बस तेरा साथ चाहिए।-
Not all roads lead to your destination.
Some are just a little detour,
some are dead-ends
while many are misleading paths, meant to hold you off from your goal.-
When I know my destination and the compass guides my journey, tell me why should I detour?
I will always move east if I
want to meet sunrise..
-
Rise like a meteor
To depart your detour
When you're covetous
Lead the life pious
The life would be dextrous
If you're sumptuous
Work to build elegance
Which is fragrance
Not to deal with arrogance
Feel the nature
Where we're nurture
Struggle consistently
Instead of reluctantly
-
Always be prepared and courageous
to take a right detour in the long journey of your goal.-
One day you'll understand every tear, every delay, every detour was grace in disguise. Trust the process; God never wastes pain.
