बेकस रह गया वो महताब कामिल
ओढ़ तबस्सुम की चादर ,वो नक़ाब बेजार
मसर्रत की महफ़िल में ,चेहरों के संग थे शामिल!

जिस आजाद आसमां पे था नाज़ कभी
वो आज खुद सितारों के मध्य कैद था
जिस जख्म की रंजिश थी ,उस कातिब को
वो दाग़, वो जख्म ,आज खुद जख्मी था!
