जो चल रहा है साथ मेरे ,वो तुम हो
जो रुक गई है साथ तुम्हारे, वो में हूं!

आवाज़ दे रहा जो हर पल मुझे ,वो तुम हो
ख़ामोश है जो तुम में कहीं, वो में हूं!

सुकून बनकर ठहरा है जो , वो एक स्थिरता ,तुम हो
जिससे तुम अनजान हो अभितक,वो एक जिक्र , मै हूं!

इस ख़्वाब सी जिंदगी में, एक हकीकत तुम हो
तुम्हारे हकीकत से परे, एक ख़्वाब मै हूं!

महसूस हो रहा है मुझे अब,
मुझमें मुझसे ज्यादा तुम्हारा होना!
और तुम्हे शायद खबर नहीं
तुम्हारा तुमसे ज्यादा मुझमें जीना!

Thousands of thoughts
Unheard, Unsaid
Lie within me, in an entangled state.

Some truths so bitter, some whispering lies;
Some, keeping a 'whole' of me..
and others, convening pieces of mine!

The ache unfelt, the smile unvoiced,
the pain of the past, the guilt of present,
the raging anger, the constant fear,
rumors unuttered and the regret holding tears.

All these tied, with a chain of emotions..

They laugh with me, they cry within.
They rise, they fall, they die everyday.
I'm their start, I'm their end.
They know me better, I reveal them less.

Some thoughts holding death,
Some thoughts carrying life.
Some keeping a 'whole' of me,
Some convening pieces of mine!!

जब तुम्हे सताए धूप कभी
मै छाया बन कर आ जाऊंगी..
जब खो जाओ तुम अंधेरों में
मै प्रकाश - किरण बन जाऊंगी!

मैं श्वेत क्षितिज बन जाऊंगी
तुम इन्द्रधनुष सा जहां खिलो..
वो जमीं ,जिसके संग तुम
अपने कदमों के साथ चलो!

मैं बन जाऊंगी वो कविता
जो तुम्हे पसंद थी बचपन में..
वो कहानी , जिसके किरदारों में
तुम ढूंढा करते थे ,सपने अपने!

मैं बन जाऊंगी वो तारा
जो साथ हमेशा रहे तेरे..
पूरी करने को ,तेरी एक ख्वाहिश
जो बिन कुछ कहे, टूट कर बिखरे!

जो ख्वाब बसा है आंखों में
बस वही ख्वाब बन जाऊंगी..
तुम याद करो ,जिसको हर पल
मैं वो ' याद ' बन जाऊंगी!

अधूरी कहानी!

आज अंधेरों का नहीं ,
पर बिना महताब की रात का खौफ था!
खोने का नहीं , बस खोने के बाद
यादों के होने का डर था!
रंजिश ख़्वाब टूटने की नहीं,
बेवजह से ख़्वाब संजोने की थी
शिकायत खुदा से नहीं ,लकीरों से थी ..
जिंदगी से नहीं ,हालातों से थी!

पर इस बार ,वो नाराज़गी नहीं थी ..
क्योंकि वो कहानी अब ,
अपने अंजाम के बिल्कुल करीब थी...
शिकायत इस बार कातिब से नहीं थी
क्योंकि उस सफर की मुलाकात
अपनी मंज़िल से हो गई थी!
बस मलाल ये रह गया कि...
आखिरी पन्ने तक आकर, इस बार
मैंने किताब बंद कर दी थी!

(एक कहानी,फिर अधूरी रह गई थी)

तुम बेशक,
रोक लोगे उसे
पर उसका क्या
जो उससे पहले ही
जा चुकी है
कहीं दूर
खो गई है ,अंधेरों में
वो मुस्कुराहट
वो आजादी
वो ख़ुशी
वो जीने की चाह
वो सपने उसके
....
तुम जीवित तो रख
लोगे उसे, पर
सिर्फ सांसें लेना ही तो
ज़िन्दगी नहीं होती ना!!

and you call them stars
Don't you..
...

But for me,
they are words
Spread all along the sky
Unfolding all the mysteries
Of the universe
In the form of constellations

Why to stop the clock
If one is waiting for time
Why to close the doors,
If one is standing behind

If she's growing inside
Let her come up
Why to 'end'so early
at least let her take a 'start'

Why to be so 'quick'
let the buds bloom for the butterflies

Even if, this world is cruel
Let her witness this, by herself
Why to array her funeral
Let the cradle touch her first

Before giving a choked death
at least give her a chance to breathe


Let the fireflies spread their light
Let the angels get their wings!!
