I remembered while returning
from college hostel on holidays after each semester break in a gap of six months ; how it was like receding into a warm cozy comforter in a chilled winter spell !!

Red is the colour of the comforter
the Sun slowly tucks itself into
after its relentless job
during the day.
It's overtly finicky to sleep
with lights on
just like me
so, it peeks out from behind
until the earth
flips them off
before it slides into blissful slumber
tonight.

Maa bought me
a double size comforter,
for the looming winter
and I've been noticing
for some years,
that the season of rains
and cyclones
is blending into
the season of heimal nights
and murky dawns,
making the cold last long~

A comfort one

You became my comfort zone
When I was all alone.
I did not realise that I'll meet such
Just during the lunch,
I became your heart's prone.

Wearing a friendship throne ,
I came to you down.
After all, I did not feel much
When you gave me a loving touch.
Now you created me a new town.

She may not be that comfort but made me comfort and that's why she is a comfort one for me.
