I got them blue flowers,


But the color of my skin, is all that they saw.

I sanitise my hands,
one more time than the rest
because I'm a person of color
and I've understood it's vile,
no I've not been manipulated or forced
I comprehended it with how my
specie is seen or is told and if
one doesn't hear, they'd assassinate
us on road because, we are the people
of color, and I am no different, so
maybe I'd be given a hard coarse,
and I am naive to believe things will
change thence before I change minds,
I try "fairing" my epidermis with bottles of
alcoholic solution that sometimes burn
my skin, and lag my find,
but hope is a thing. A very real thing.

The Burning Shade!

I wear my skin on the outside
But they see black on the outside
Skin as black as night
I thought colorism no longer exists
But it is what it is, spotting everywhere!

The shades wreck the brimming confidence
Ruining the light of your soul dim
Breaching the promise of not to be affected
Letting yourself down with a word or two
Or the disgust of their eyes!

Do they conceive black on my inside too?
That's when I say,
Damn it all to hell
A shade darker would never
Make a difference to who I am!

Oh my dear gentleman and gentlewomen
I have heard people saying ,
black T-shirt just look cool
black dress suits more than a whity white,,
then why people even say I want a lady white,
I mean black look cool then why to search for a white?
Wait for a while,not to say
but I saw some foolish in markets
buying an expensive fairness creams,
the most famous one is fair n lovely I guess
