स्मृति...

आज फिर बचपन में ,
खो जाने का दिल करता है,
मदमस्त हो जाने का दिल करता है।
वह माँ का चिल्ला कर जगाना, उसे अनसुना कर मेरा सोते रहना।
पापा का डांट ,जिसे सुनते ही,
किताबें खोल पढ़ने का .ढोंग करना
हर सुबह जैसे- तैसे,
स्कूल पहुँचना!
टीचर की फटकार सुनना,
बस टिफिन ब्रेक का इंतजार करना।
ना होमवर्क का टेंशन लेना,
ना 90% मार्क्स लाने का सोचना।
बस पास हो गए हम,
यानी आधी दुनिया जीत गए हम।
घर लौटते ही बस्ता फेंकना,
नंगे पैर खेलने को भगाना।
जब तक पापा की छड़ी ना दिखती,
घर लौटने की ना सोचना।
घर लौटते ही,
माँ के थप्पड़ से स्वागत होना।
फिर ना मैगी ,ना चाऊमीन,
दाल चावल ठूसना।
और किताबें लेकर बैठ जाना,
किताबों की आड़ में,
कॉमिक्स लेकर पढ़ना।
कितने मजे, वह भी क्या दिन थे?
ना जिम्मेदारियों का बोझ?
ना किसी से आगे बढ़ाने की होड़।
काश! कहीं से लौट आता ?
फिर से खो जाते,लौट जाते बचपन में।
हाँ, आज फिर से एक बार,
बचपन में खो जाने का दिल करता है....

रात बीती मगर
सुबह की धूप साथ
गर्माहट ना लाई

नाजुक उमंगों की अभिरामता
बीतते दिन के साथ
मन के आँगन को रंगों से
भर ही रहा था

अगले ही क्षण
काँच में आशा रोने लगी,
फिर भी हँसती रही,
आशा जो है!

I miss my innocence as a Kid,
Or, rather the Courage!
The courage, to smile at every face with Love
The courage of not being afraid of betrayal or distrust
The courage of crying rather than hiding the tears
The courage of showing affection rather than covering it in layers
The courage of not taking judgements into account
The courage of not pushing back or keeping a count
The courage of letting things go, with a small distraction
The courage of not heavying my heart on mis-actions.
I miss the courage i mustered as a kid;
The courage of being right even if i was wronged!

If a mad man is flashing his private parts in a narrow alley and laughing like a disgusting demon from hell,
Don’t be afraid, throw a stone right at the centre
If someone tries to force himself on you,
Don’t surrender, throw a stone at him
If anyone touches you inappropriately in cinema hall, public transport, school,
Don’t hate yourself, throw a stone at him
If someone makes you feel uncomfortable in a fair, religious procession, public ceremony,
Don’t be afraid, throw a stone at him
If someone tries to steal the light from your life,
Don’t run and hide in dark, face them,
Throw a stone
I promise that I will never blame you for being targeted by criminals,
but I will never forgive you for not fighting back

Phir in doodh ke danton se jurmana kya lenge?
Aur nadani ko saza kya denge?

Kucch imliyon ke muqadame toh aapke sir bhi the!
yaad hain?

Ho hi Jane do inhe bhi kitabon ki lambi qaid;
Humari hi tarah, ye bhi sudhar jayenge;
Chale Jane do inhe bhi pardes,
Jahan koi imliya nahi lagata;
Hum imliyan bhool gaye
Ye bhi Aam tod kar khana bhool jayenge".
