"Ye kya kiya aapne?
Aati hi hogi inki ma
sanskar ka thapad liye
aur tab tak apni ghoorti hui nazron ki hirast mein rakhegi
jab tak inke pita poore samaj ki taraf se
Inhe gunhegar na thehra dein.

Ye guhaar laga sakte hain par
sanskar ke ulanghan par inhe koi khandani vakeel nahi milega,
Phir in doodh ke danton se jurmana kya lenge?
Aur nadani ko saza kya denge?

Kucch imliyon ke muqadame toh aapke sir bhi the!
yaad hain?

Ho hi Jane do inhe bhi kitabon ki lambi qaid;
Humari hi tarah, ye bhi sudhar jayenge;
Chale Jane do inhe bhi pardes,
Jahan koi imliya nahi lagata;
Hum imliyan bhool gaye
Ye bhi Aam tod kar khana bhool jayenge".

मुसाफ़िर

गुजरते हुए न जाने कितनो को ही,
नज़र अंदाज़ किया है
वोह मुसाफिर था और बशिंदों को,
इसी बात ने नाराज़ किया है।

जिसने दोपहर लांघ कर
सूरज के सो जाने का इंतज़ार किया है
जब बैठा वोह खुद की सुनने
तोह लोगों ने अंधेरे में बाज़ार किया है।

अब इल्ज़ाम है गुजर जाने का
अब इल्ज़ाम है गुजर जाने का
कुछ ऐसे बेगुनाह को कूसुरवार किया है
एक मुसाफ़िर को बस्ती ने
सारी कौम का रिश्तेदार किया है।
