The ban of chi training for women had a domino effect all across China. Over time, things got exacerbated. A once feared warrior, was no longer allowed to do many things. Let alone Chi training, women were not even given jobs in other areas because of the massive impact the decree had. Women who stood against this decree, were deemed unpatriotic, and expelled from the kingdom. In one of the instances, a clash broke out between some women who were mid training of chi, and a crowd of men and soldiers, who were bent on stopping their training. The clash became too violent and a lot of blood was shed. Women paid for it with their lives. After this, most women all across china accepted their fate and gave up their future and freedom. Over time, gradually, society deemed an entire gender inferior to the other. Two generations later, Mulan was born.

A piece of cosmos,
Soft, trickling down drop by drop—
Yet I am unbound.
I own not a thing at all,
Nor am I owned by no-thing.

I'm the very Chi,
The spirit of every frame,
Ageless — I don't die.
