Why do you love books more than people?

- Maybe because unlike people, their
words never lie.

Good books do create ecstatic magic,
like the dandelions dancing from static,
they gave me a light which I now need,
Numbly sow in mind a wisdom seed,
by folding the ripples of my innocence
it unveiled a new me, with a difference.

I just get into a book,
And then I make sure that I stay lonely;
Till the fingers of mine are in a deep conversation, with the turning pages.
Which lasts until the book mark, is placed again to the beginning.

मुझे भी बंद कर दो उन किताब के पन्नों में,
जिनमें है बसे किरदार कई,
मैं भी बन जाऊं उनकी तरह,
जैसे हिस्सा हूं मैं भी उस किस्से की,
कि हक़ीक़त अब रास नहीं आती,
किताबों में ही रहता है मन ये मेरा,
दोस्त भी मेरे किताब ही है
और गिला भी उनसे ही है,
चाहे ख़्याल ही सही मगर सुकून है उस ख्याल में,
जो हक़ीक़त की दुनिया में कहीं भी नहीं है...
