One of the few men to earn both the MRCP & FRCS degrees; the Maker of the modern West Bengal; the most popular chief minister of the state of West Bengal; founder of a number of universities and 5 major cities named Kalyani, Asoknagore, Vidhannagore, Habra & Durgapur; an ardent follower of Mahatma Gandhi; an eminent physician, educationist and freedom-fighter—Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy's credits cannot be summed up in such short a space! I would like to pay my
sincere tribute to this great man on
his birth and death anniversary. 🙏

ओजस्वी-बहुमुखी प्रतिभा के धनी वो,
डॉक्टर ऑफ़ सांइस से सम्मानित जो,
भारतीय रत्न डॉ॰ बिधान चन्द्र राय वो।

সেবার জন্যই জন্ম তাঁর।
রাজনীতি হোক বা দেহশাস্ত্র,
বিপ্লবীকেও সাহস দিয়ে করে তুলেছেন সশস্ত্র।
জন্মদিনেই মৃত্যু তাঁর,
এটাই দুর্ভাগ্য ভারতবাসীর!
