I remember the day you were born.
She had her eyes locked into yours,
while she kept you warm-holding you tight
against her heart. The nurse was about to take
you back to care. She didn't move her
eyes.She held u tighter,like she didn't
want to let go.I could see her eyes sparkling.
The first time I saw the very same sparks
in her eyes was on our wedding day.
We completed our seventh circle around
the sacred fire.But still,she didn't let go
Of my hands.I looked into her eyes.
Yes,I saw an eternity in her eyes,
and tightened my grip.
It is for both of us who she lives for;
Me-her heart,and you- its beat.
That was the sweetest bedtime
story her father ever told her.It
Was about a fairy;her mom.

Bedtime Story
I love the moment when your eyes close
And your lips open in slow motion..!!-
Morgan freeman and his damn voice
He could just read out the ingredients on a can of red bull
and it would sound like a bedtime story
named
An ox on the run and his two hideouts.-
Bedtime Stories
***
I belong to that generation where I was narrated bed time stories to sleep by my parents. Not necessarily from those glossy, beautified bedtime story book that we see these days in market (too costly, I tell you). Sometimes, they were folk tales, anecdotes or their reworked version of a story that came in newspaper.
Even my grandmother was a great story teller. Whenever she used to visit us, she had the most amazing stories which was narrated over 3-4 evenings. I was mesmerized by them. When I look back today, I know most of them will fall into fantasy as far as genre is concerned.
I am really grateful to them. This is one of the many reasons, why I find comfort in stories and words. They always have a therapeutic effect on me. Indeed childhood years craft the psyche!
Audiobooks brought that bedtime story back in my life. And it is a struggle to complete an audiobook as I fall asleep after a chapter or so.-
I wish to be that
special secret diary,
inwhich you scribble
all your favourite
bed time story !-
The grandson's description of his day in school became the ailing grandma's favorite bedtime story.

Kalmunhi //

The Boy Who Fed On Nightmares
The boy woke up from another awful nightmare.
Bad memories from that past that he
wanted to forget were replayed on his
dreams every night and haunted him
nonstop.
He was terrified of falling asleep, so
one day, he went to the witch and
begged. “Please get rid of all my bad
memories, so that I won’t ever have a
nightmare again. Then, I will do
everything you ask.”
Years went by, and the boy became an
adult. He no longer has nightmares but
for some strange reasons, he wasn’t
happy at all.
One night, a blood moon filled the sky
and the witch finally showed up again
to take what he had promised in return
for granting his wish. And he shouted
at her with so much resentment,
“All my bad memories are gone but why
can’t I become happy.”
Then the witch took his soul as they
had promised and told him this,
“Hurtful, painful memories. Memories
of deep regrets. Memories of hurting
others and being hurt. Memories of
being abandoned. Only those with
such memories buried in their hearts
can become stronger, more
passionate, and emotionally flexible.
And only those can attain happiness.”
