बूढ़ा दिसंबर,जवान जनवरी के
पैरों पर बिछ रहा है,
इक्कीसवीं सदी को देखो, बीसवां
साल लग रहा है।

এমন অভিজ্ঞতা না হলেই বোধহয় ভালো হতো, অনেকেই হয়তো বড়সড় ঝড়ের সম্মুখীন হয়েছেন কিন্তু আমার জীবনের এই অভিজ্ঞতা এই সর্বপ্রথম। পাঁচ-ছয় ঘণ্টার বেশি সময় ধরে দু'কানে মনে হতে লাগল মাথার উপর দিয়ে বিমান চলছে। গাছপালাগুলো দুমড়েমুচড়ে উপড়ে গেল খেলনা পুতুলের মত। দুর্বল ঘর বাড়ি গুলোর বেহাল দশা, যারা বেঁচে গেছেন হাতের মুঠোয় জীবন নিয়ে। আর চাই না দেখতে এমন।
