HAPPY CHILDREN'S DAY

A five year old kid am I,
I live down that lane,
While the twelve year old celebrates,
I watch them with pain.

Everyone wears fancy clothes,
Parents drop them to school,
When I wear your old clothes
Only mother finds me cool.

I am poor,
No one to wish me,
But I'll wish you all today,
Never known what it is,
But a HAPPY CHILDREN'S DAY.

It had been a horrible day since morning. Paa shouted at Mumma again. They're arguing like television about him losing his job. Paa is always busy, but not today.
“Why is a job so important?" She just does not understand.
Bade Bhai is upset since yesterday, Mumma says his girl friend left him.
“Why is he so upset about a girl leaving him, did she steal his comics?” she wonders, she can't read but love those picture books. “He still have a lot friends left.”
No one have time to sit with her except Mumma but she is not talking to her.
She knows everything she asks, she must know this.
Eating toffee she went to her sobbing mother.
“Mumma, ye Melody itni chocolaty kyu hai?" She asked with purest innocence.
Everyone smiled through tears.

Orphaned and Lost

Child;
Yet no child he was
In this cruel, selfish world
He was totally lost

No disguise could protect him now
No-one to save from the bite of frost
Or to teach him to play hide, seek , survive
He was totally lost

No mother, no father, no siblings if he'd had
Not a home who'll adopt nor a place to call "Nest"
He wished the Earth to open and swallow him whole
'Cause he will be always Lost.
