Judge others not only by what they are but also by what they yearn to become

If such silky words could be
So mellifluously rendered
By those saccharine lips of yours;
Then, utter my name--
Once, twice, or even thrice.
Perchance, your melodious voice
Could lend some semblance of hope
To this weary soul who, for long,
Have so yearned to be yours.

Forever wishing all this to be a
dream,
And to wake up as the little me
back in mom's lap.

A second chance is all that I am
yearning for.

The silly heart yearns for delicacies too expensive.

Take off the mask
For I yearn to see
The real smile
Underneath

And what if
Despite the years
And the distance
The yearning remains

Would age make it easier
To breathe in your memories
And breathe out the regrets?

I quench my thirst
with the glowing embers
of unfading memories,
sort of like an antidote
for the yearn that burns.

Who knew
Burning the midnight oil
Every single night
With that day's newspaper
Would spark a fire in him
So strong,
He would never look back
Into darkness of illiteracy again

The greatest agony of life is that there's nothing stranger than the heart.
It keeps on yearning for all that it can never have.

आज सड़क पार करते समय एक अजिब सा हादसा हुआ।
बायीं हाथ जेब से कब निकला और कब वो तुम्हे थामने की मुद्रा मे आगया पता ही नहीं चला।
वैसे तो मैं अकेला था,
पर शायद बायीं हाथ को
तुम्हे थामे चलने की आदत हो गई है।
ये देख जेब में पड़ा दायाँ हाथ ठहाके मारने लगा।
बाँयीं हाथ सब से बेख़बर, अपना क्रिया कलाप करता रहा।
सड़क पार करते ही दोनो हाथों की आँखें मिलीं,
दाँये हाथ ने खिल्ली उड़ाई,
और बाँया हाथ जलता-भुनता रह गया।
अब तो अकसर दोनों यूँ ही झगड़ते
हैं...
तुम्हारे जाने के बाद...
