We all have weathered certain upheavals in our lives, that has been particularly challenging , which has now left copious amount of traces that we need to erase in all its totality, only if we are willing to change things for the better.

WEATHERED AND WORN

Out alone I stand....
A woman with her child ready to be born...
Yet, here I am, surrounded with sand and burns......
Looking so Weathered and Worn.
I scream for help.......
Each accompanied with a yelp from pain.....
Tugging my hair like I am insane...
Eyes on the sky whilst saying a prayer....
If a Maker exists, Please make me a mother.

You know the stone gets weathered,
And reduced to soil.
Then provides existence,
To mortal lives.

Dad Took Me to the River

Dad took me to the river
Shallow, blue and clear.
A twinge of unknown fear
Sent up a chilling quiver.
"God gave us this water;
Why fear when I'm here"
Was my dad's banter
Feeding me some cheer.
I stepped in gingerly,
Expecting to float away.
Nothing happened really;
My feet planted as clay.
It was cool as morning breeze;
Caresses of soothing reverie;
Fishes pecking me to a freeze,
Sending up a tingling ecstasy.
"Face the fear head on,
Fear will fire you away"
I dug his moral right on
By this simple act of sway.
Fifty years hence, I have
Faced many demons to quash
Like that one small step, brave,
I've weathered 'em in a flash.
