Twister
Do you know who I am.
Sometimes I’m just a man.
Others know me as dad, Chris, or Mr.
But my life has gone in many directions just like a game of twister.
As dad I am king of a dynasty, with children a wife and no other.
As Chris I’m a son, a friend. I’m a husband a lover and a brother.
As a Mr I am biotic, part of a community. Living as one.
But in this game of twister and behind four walls my roles are second to none.
There is a me that no one sees.
A man of many parts.
Theatrical, you may perceive.
What a performance from the heart.
Nurse, chef, psychologist, therapist, Doctor and much much more .
An unpaid carer, one of many a character.
An Oscar winner, never applaud.
So when you see me in the street.
As Chris, dad or Mr, smile as you pass me by.
We are an integral part in life’s game of twister.
A role that we never belie.
