Time zones can keep us
away from sleep but
not from each other

I'll tuck you into bed, with your teddy by your side. The angels will take care of you , will keep demons out of sight. I'll pray for your safety and hold your hand tight. Bestow my love upon you and wish you have a sweetest night. When time zones separate us, and nothing seems to go right, I'll still pretend to hold on with all my might.

It's when our overlapping time zones grow thinner that we tend to change our sets.

Today I realized that minutes weigh more than hours, because they bring you closer to something that might be distanced from you by hours.

The only thing about having
friends online, is they're asleep
when you're awake and vice versa.

He was in India. She was in Canada.

He saw the moon earlier, clicked a pic, mailed it to her, with a pic of thaali comprising sweets and water. That's love!

She kept fasting for 36 hrs. THAT'S LOVE!

My world was a perfect rectangle.
You on the other side of it. And,
we collided somewhere in between.
Behind the screens. My mornings
weaved star studded blanket for
you to sleep under. You would
sing 'Sky full of stars' and make
me wonder if we were nothing
but two 'lost stars', trying to find
a way back home, a home in each
other. You blew good night kisses
at my dizzy mornings. Your kisses
travelled time zones only to paint
my world in a wondrous web of
colours I woke up to every morning.
It looked no less than a mordern art,
a beautiful mess, basking in yellow
blush. How artfully the good old
Nokia Lumia connected the two of us.

The tenderness of being faraway

low and medium is all you know
cooking on high is something
you are scared of, to the core

you stir the curry like a gentle
summer zephyr stirring my hair
i clip my eyelids up to stay awake

you like your curry nice and tender
and i assure you that it'd come out so
if only you cover the lid and let it simmer

you say what you'd do without me
i say you'd munch on choco buns
cookies, pastries and go to sleep

our laughter rings in the air
"it's late, sleep!", you say but i
crave more of the tenderness of being faraway.

POWER CUT

sun simmered up and
smeared all over the place
but she is reluctant to
leave her bed without
his morning wishes

battery bar is crimson red
like the blood gushing
in his crushing veins
she'd be waiting at his page
with a handful of love
that she never confess

gazing at the starless roof
he remembers all her words
how his dreams would be sweet
without her wishing so

Power cut has kept one awake
and other glued to the bed.
