Lost in the reverie...

'Even in her drunken stupor she is hot!'
He smiled, thinking about all the dreams that would today come true.

He had waited for this since a long time. He tried being persuasive, but when it didn't work, this had to be done. He was ready to claim his prize.

She lay there, almost unconscious, in a bliss of ignorance.

What would that bliss turn into, tomorrow, after realisation?

She lay there still. Not a single thought. Motionless. Eyes wide open, staring blankly into the darkness. A firefly appeared from nowhere and in its constant flicker, she blinked and seemed to stumble out of her self-imposed stupor.

A long yawn fell upon her and for the first time she felt a certain weight down below. She got up gingerly, walked barefoot towards the mirror, looked at the beginnings of a bump and resolved to keep it.

From the corner of my eye,
I gaze at your poise
which refuses to wither.
Not an ounce shed.
Not a speck on thy glitter.

I see the loop on your ear,
round and never-ending
weighing down the lobes.
It reminds me of how you
once were my world
and I your Atlas.

I send you a wink,
but you remain stony,
That is when I stumble
out of my stupor.

Sometimes dark stupor
comforts you more than
empathetic consciousness

And thus the defiance
of that child to express affection
for his mom turned to sins
he pleaded mercy in his stupors for

When he turned a man
and was distanced from her.

The water comes rushing and kisses my toes, enveloping my feet before receding. As if inviting me to join in the reverie. I get up somehow and follow it and soon enough I am knee deep, feeling their hold on me. The tide isn't strong, though I am careful not to indulge it. I bend down and splash some of it on my face gently but out of habit that I am, cannot prevent my eyes from closing.

When I open my eyes the next moment, I see myself receding from the shore. I realize I am not wet. I ask Maria to slow down. I gaze carefully at the waves and salute their stupor.

I was walking towards
OBLIVION,
In sweet stupor;
Until you pull me up,
With a ticket to
Your fantasy world.

With every walk and every talk we share our hearts with each other.

With every smile in these miles you shelter us safe for our future.

When I can no longer walk, lost in the dark, you fight me for what's ours.

Wasn't in my senses at all when you called. Now together we fall in our stupor.

Its us, you and me in all the buts and doubts. But its your faith which shapes me, in my gruelling hours.

Touching my soul, filling my holes, are you the one I was waiting for..?
