Period cramps are worst experience of my life. The pain is unbearable for me. That Sunday night my mood was down the drain due to period cramps. On top of it, I was really craving for a New York Cheesecake and none of the restaurants had it in stock. Though I did not tell him, he understood everything. In a sudden flurry of action, he blindfolded me and took me to the terrace. When he opened it, I noticed that it was a new moon night and stars were twinkling. He spread a mat and we both cuddled. I rested my head on his chest and gazed at the star studded sky above me. He ran his fingers through my hair and kissed my forehead. I felt I was in the arms of the entire cosmos. In that moment, who needs a cheesecake when you have a slice of the universe in your arms?

Tonight, I am sitting on the terrace, looking at the stars with a piece of cheesecake. But the cramps don't hurt as much as my heart. Afterall, a piece of it is missing, lost in another city far far away.
