When you laugh at someone
Splitting a kaju into two perfect halves
or
When you're noticed with a slit in your sleeves,
Someone is left in splits.

Reminds me of poetry.

Of the gapped words
wielding some meanings,
Hyphenated phrases
displaying a firm framework,
The uncertain commas
smoothing the flow.

Of the ravishing semicolons,
extending the line as if
it wants to hold on;
as if it wants to delay the end,
The broken stanzas
ebbing curiosity to the peak
And of the heroic full stop
ending the poetry, but
enhancing its influence.

The splits in the vast blue,
is not a blemish, but an art.
An art that thrives, endures
Just like poetry, gracing
even after the doomsday.
