Mending Wall by Robert Frost talks about two neighbours who are rebuilding a wall at spring time. In the poem, the function of the wall is debated on practical and political grounds and if the division is necessary. The neighbours believe that the wall is necessary to keep human relations pleasant and out of conflict. Its upto the readers to decide which version of human community is most convincing.
Robert Frost is primarily associated with the life and landscape of New England. His work involves dark medidatations on universal themes, he is a quintessentially modern poet in his adherence to language as it is actually spoken and in degree to which his work is infused with layers of ambiguity and irony.
