Seven Days Of Spoken Word
The Final Challenge

Write a poem about the number, "7"

I wish I had seven fingers .
Five that counted my words , my papers and my pens ,
One extra which counted the dreams my nights contained ,
Another which counted the losses.
Because these five fingers
Never have counted all that
which slipped from this palm of mine ,
And the count gradually
Exceeded the count .
Einstein said "all that can be counted
Should not be counted. "
But this had to be counted
And I couldn't count .
Futile attempts choked me down .
I should count ,
Lest what shall I pass on as my legacy ?
For I own a lot less than what I lost .

But seven is just a paradox .
Of fantasized and preserved monuments named as wonders
And of blended hues of earth which were sucked up by the sky ,
seldom do I sew the embroidery of merriment in downpours .
Mostly it's melancholy
Which keeps ebullience buoyant ,
Of thirst , dried up saliva ,
Eroded lands and cracked heels ,
Of separation of two lovers .

The calendar needs
seven days to
complete it but
all I need is
you.
The sky needs
seven colours to
look beautiful
but all I need
is your cosy
look.
Seven, is a lucky
number they say but
who needs luck when
just being with
you is a
blessing!

At 07, a Kid, trying to learn,
At 14, an adoloscent, trying to be free,
At 21, a believer, trying to win all,
At 28, a hard worker, trying to move forward,
At 35, a home maker, trying to balance,
At 42, an optimist, trying to believe,
At 49, a pessimist, trying to challenge,
At 56, a pragmatic, trying to accept,
At 63, a peace lover, trying for peace,
At 70, a fighter, trying to adjust,
Beyond 77, a survivor, trying to buy time..
Life takes us through this cycle of seven,
Only we are not aware of making it even..

Seven is just a number
untill it happened;
he came and rule
every cricket fans,
won all format of
WCC cups for India;
new name to DRS,
Dhoni Review System:
he earned by his decision
fans rejoice with captain cool,
Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

It takes 7 seconds
to judge a person,
to shrink their entirety
into a stereotype
that holds good for
the magic number 7
plus or minus 2
in case your eyes
have met theirs
for a brief moment,
7 seconds to be exact,
at least that's what I believe
to be true.

Seven symbolizes beauty!
Yes, seven have beauty in itself,
It consists of every admirable things,
Within itself.....
Seven colours that filled the sky,
And attracted the eyes in the form of rainbow.
Seven wonders took the hearts,
Of the visitors because of its antiquity.
Even God gifted us with seven days in a week,
As a chance to correct our mistakes in the following days.
We are also connected to this world,
In the name of karma in all our seven births.
Thus seven is the number,
That creates a bond between the soul and spirituality.
