वेदना और दुख की दुपहरी
जीवन भर रह जानी है,
दोनों के बीच समन्वय करते ,
एक उम्र ,युग सी हो जानी है .
सुख की छाँव में हर कोई
सहता ही सहता जाता हैं ,
सुख तो दो पल की है कहानी
बाकी , सुख के पीचे रम जानी है.
वेदना के रुप अनंतम
एक दूजे से जुदा सबके गम हैं ,
अपने -अपने गम की राह पकड़
जीवन लीला अस्त हो जानी है.
वेदना और दुख की दुपहरी
जीवन भर रह जानी है.

खामोशियां अक्सर
वो अल्फाज समेटे होती हैं
जो ग़र दिल से फूट पड़ें तो
तबाही मचा दें
वो अल्फाज ज़िन्हे
सन्नाटों ने घेरा था
के वो हाल - ए - दिल
का एलान ना कर दें
अल्फाज जो मुझसे ही
मेरी बातें कर
कहीं किसी कोने में
छुप जाते थे
वो अल्फाज ......
