Takes me away from illusionary brightness and
Shows me the real brightness of the night sky.
Takes me away from the illusionary noise of gadgets and
Shows me how silence actually smells.
Takes me away from the hot air inside the closed cabinet and
Shows me the cool breeze under a dusky sky.

The Final Retreat


I saw a shooting star today,
A bright, dazzling stroke of light,
Though after a moment, it faded into
the darkness of the night;
But before fading it reflected love in it's eyes,
A love that is inseparable even after it's demise,
Yet, the star vanished after glittering the sky, with it's
brightest ray!

The night was silent as usual,
Does it even matter if a star goes out among trillion more?
The faint waves still crushed and washed up the shore.
The moon still kept peeping behind the clouds,
The snoring of the whole world in the dead of the night
could still be heard aloud.
Not a single creature was affected by the luminous artwork done by nature on the
sky as a mural!

That a shooting star grants our wish, is all a lie;
In order to keep other stars alive, that star die.
Towards the earth, the star took it's first as well as last ride,
In the midst of darkness, a pair of eyes of the nyctophile blazed at the sight!
Slowly the star disappeared with the heat,
Indicating it's final and ultimate retreat!

Does it even matter if a star goes out among a trillion more?
