Its a privilege to even share your fears because I never found those fears pointless. You being the only child of your parents, are obviously suppose to be worried about their well being.

The other night, on a phone call, when you asked about how our parents would manage after our wedding, I didn't understand at first, what you were actually trying to ask. So I replied wondering if it wasn't too early to think about it. I mean we're not getting married for another 4-5 years at least. But you were adamant on getting an answer out of me. So, I had to reply what I thought, that they'd be happy if they see us happy. They are both strong couples, what's there to worry.
On asking a few more times, you finally told me about what bothered you. Your neighbor had kicked his parents out. After being silent for a while, I replied that like a normal family, we may have arguments, quarrels and fights, but I promise, nothing of this sort is going to happen to our parents, ever. We'll respect and love both our parents equally, I promise.

"And teach our kids the same, right?"
"Yes"

A childish question, but worth answering. How am I not suppose to love you?
