•Ode to a Nanny•

Oh dearest Nanny,
your saint like attire goes round the clock
and on weekdays your palms help to bandage
my slumber when my parents traverse wonderland.
You unfold quiet stories in leisure hours with
sun, moon and stars. You warm my isolated heart
with your pellucid smile and tolerant skills.
You feed me spoonful happiness and numbered kisses.

The dad hired a nanny to take care of his baby.
35 years later,
His son hired a nurse to take care of him.
Both were busy making money.

Yesterday my poetry writing was on a holiday,
Coz my maid was on leave!
Now that puts up a strange question!
"Does my maid write poetry for me?"
Oh no, she does not! But she is my write hand!
(I mean right hand)😅
Even though when she is around,
Things may not be super smooth,
But she is at least a moral support!
Although most of the time, I end up doing her work and mine,
I'm not sure if she is not qualified to comprehend the task at hand,
Or in understanding her, am I naive?
There are times when she makes my day glide,
At others she tries taking me for a ride,
Whatever may be the case,
She can't do without me,
And I can't do without her!
Who knew that a girl
Whose pen oosed out romance for her dream boy,
Would be writing about her Tom and Jerry relationship with her maid?
This is what motherhood does,
Churns your brain 360 degrees,
And ensures intelligence, creativity and practicality all oose out at one go!
And most importantly, the maid becomes the most important soldier,
In raising your toddler!
So when she wasn't there yesterday,
I had to guard the army,
So guarding the pen,
Got delayed by a day😀

A Granny asked a Nanny why she was so lanky eventhogh she was foody.
Nanny looked at the Granny with a smile, so fragile and replied that her Monkey like Tinies snatched all her snacks, tasty.
