She Miscarriaged

I have conceived a thousand ideas
and suffered nine hundred and ninety nine
miscarriages.
Still, I do not declare myself barren,
even if it seems difficult and worthless,
I make love to the feelings.
For I desire to conceive and give birth to
the ideas, delicate- the calloused abort.

And no matter what others say,
I will keep on making love and conceiving,
no matter the miscarriages.
For I know and they too are aware
That nothing is and nothing will ever be
as beautiful and precious as
L I F E.

Yet in certain ways

Smiles that a mother
Could never kiss
When inside her
A little heart
Stopped to beat

My old soul,
too old to write poems,
devoting to capture
the beauty inside her bravery
with words.

The miscarriage broke her completely , and the fact that she could never bear a child added fuel to it . She lived everyday but her soul was dead . Within these 2 months she had connected to her baby , a way no one could ever think of . Though not hungry she would eat on time everyday for her baby . She knew all the pranks he committed in her womb . She knew how he called her "Mamma !" She knew his every little move . She talked to him for hours telling how his mamma and papa are waiting desperately to meet thier little baby . Her baby's heartbeat was something she lived for .
It was evening when the doorbell rang . He stood holding a little baby in his arms smiling at her .
" Won't you call me in ? "
She let him in and closed the door , confused .
" Who's baby is this ? Why is she here ?"
" Its our baby . Yes , your and mine . I can see everything but I can't see your face without its million dollar smile . I can see everything but I can't imagine our room without your giggles . I can see everything but can't see you broken . Is it necessary that a baby from your womb having our blood will make you a mother . No, sweetheart !
