The Legends of Lilith

"Satan's Whore","Satan's Mistress", "Mother of all the Demons"

These are the words we have heard for her
But do we know exactly what She's made of?
What powers does She possess?
Or what lies inside her powerful mind and body?
Why She's called all these names but Lilith the Queen?

These are the things that are kept hidden and locked
For they knew we are going to question
And someday even unravel the truth,
For we won't quietly accept the sugar coated lie
that Lilith went for Satan, ditching Adam the First, just like that,

They never knew that someday we'd find
Lilith was crafted from the same Clay as Adam was,
Unlike Eve who was made from his ribs,
That She refused to accept the very first manifestation of the Patriarchy
Before we even knew what to name it
Or how we're gonna tame it!

Do you know what's ironical in these last lines?
It is the fact that patriarchy started spreading it's tentacles
even when there was just a single man in the Garden.

So, they did what they know best,
Demonized a power they couldn't control
Created a fear of the unknown
Made sure she's never worshipped but feared
Because it's the subservience to which She never adhered!
