I was hoping that the clouds would fade soon
Little did I know, this time they came with some other plans
Plans to stay, to weaken, to break, and to destroy
So that I withdraw the troops I once deployed
Deployed to guard
My heart,
My most vulnerable part
Part, that I'd rather choose to slaughter than to surrender
To rather crucify than to sacrifice!
But I am holding the buckler firmly
To not let them infiltrate,
To not let them rupture the parts I just cannot afford to give away,
Certainly, it's a prolonged war
But I am assured by my own Self
That the future is going to unfold in ways I cannot expect,
Or in ways that are out of the ordinary,
This gives me hope,
Hope, that even though tomorrows are not promised
Still there's a chance,
Chance, to forgive and to relive,
To forget and to fall,
To love and to feel,
The sorrows and all the awaited tomorrows.
