Letters to Ibi: Of Your Names тАФ Help Me Make A Choice
Dear Ibi,
I believe you're doing fine, and that your face is still the sun's favourite reflector.
I need to make a choice. And though it rarely happens, I am at a loss of what to pick. It's about your names. Better still, your name, and its Yor├╣b├б equivalent.
I love Ibi тАФ how it rolls on my tongue like fufu in the hand of an adept foodie.
But I have some bias: Bo╠г╠Бla╠Бri╠Аnwa╠Б тАФ I've always loved the name Bo╠г╠Бla╠Б, and my mum is another testament of how beautiful Bo╠г╠Бla╠Бs are wont to be.
I'm of the opinion that the choice of a preferred name should ultimately lie with the user and not the bearer of the name. However, what's it they say about the two becoming one?
If I am you, and you are me, and I am at a loss of what to do, then you should be able to make decisions for me, shouldn't you?
I would never want to bother you, my love. But I have trust in your sound sense of judgement, and I am sure that you'll make a good choice for me. I hope to hear from you soon. And I'd write the next letter sooner than I wrote this.
With every inch of love in my being,
Theo
