Dear not-so-dear Mirror,
I hope you are doing fine coping up with your sickness of aging and insecurities.
I am sorry I took over. I am sorry I happened to you like the text messages to the hand written letters.Time and people chose me over you because let's face it you are too rigid, too true, too harsh to a generation that cares more about just looking good than actually being good. It's a generation of filters and edits and you my dear are too pristine, too real.
They complain at the sight of your truthfulness and hence they escape to cover their insecurities and flaws through me. Today people have me in abundance in their phones, laptops and even on their walls but only a very few pieces of you in their home.
For I am a work of art which doesn't have to be true and you are the sheer reality. I am the gateway to people's memories and past and you their bitter moment and present. I remain quite pitying you and your fortune while smiling gratefully at mine. I hope someday every one gets that too.
Please don't get extincted.
