// Indian Wedding//

Stars were shining quietly
The hall was decorated brightly
Floor was being swept by the maid
Old songs were replayed

'The arrangements are not proper yet' he said
And the girl was ready to be draped in red
Vendors hastily were putting their stalls
Marvellously decorated was the hall

The kids ran in a circle
After all, wedding was eternal
The family was gay and happy
Finally the girl had accepted to marry!

Weddings are a time for Celebration for
everyone except the bride and the groom.

हाफ़ पैंट से आज तू सूट बूट वाला हो जायेगा
गाली के जगह आज सबसे प्यार से बतियाएगा
आज दूसरी लड़कियों के जगह बस अपने बीवी को देख पायेगा
तुझे भाव नहीं दिया कभी जिसने उससे तू उपहार पायेगा
दारू के जगह बस आज पानी ही पी पायेगा
अंकल से तानो के जगह सिर्फ़ आशीर्वाद पायेगा

ना पहुँच सका तेरी शादी में इसलिए ये कविता लिखता हूँ
ज़ाहिर दारू पी के जो करता था
आज सुबह चाय मार के करता हूँ
भौजी को कहना देवर ने ढेर सारा प्यार भेजा है
होली कहा दूर है अब
हम सब के साथ रंग खेलने का न्योता भेजा है
मन से आज आप दोनो के लिये अप्रतिम सुख की कामना करता हूँ
जल्दी ही चाचा बने इसकी आस रखता हूँ
आज शाम की जाम आपके दोनो के नाम करता हूँ।

शादी मुबारक हो कमिनो। 😘👏🏻💍💑

लाल जोड़े में सजकर आई,
मिट्टी के दीए सी जलती पग-पग,
होठों पर मुस्कान खिलाने को,
भूखी प्यासी सजी-धजी तैयार हो चली,
प्रियतम की उम्र बढ़ाने को,
सुहाग की निशानी बचाने को,
सज धज कर तैयार हो चली,
प्रियतम की उम्र बढ़ाने को...💖

It's a backless choli, a thin strip at the back
And a lace hanging from the top
The shape made my back embossed

They met
Their hearts met
Their families met
But the horoscopes did not meet

फेरे चाहे जिसके भी साथ हो जाये
बाहों में महसूस वही होगा जो रूह में समाया होगा

-

Bags of gold along the way of life.
“All of these are just flakes”, they clasped my hands.
The treasure I found was rejected.
For them, it was no where near the pool of my caste.
Finally a bag of stone handed over to me.
and they force me to imagine it as diamonds.

The third person plural is none other than the families.

क्यों हर बार होती लड़की की विदाई

ਕਮਾਲ ਦੀ ਝੂਠੀ ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੱਜਣਾਂ
ਜਾਨ-ਜਾਨ ਬੋਲ ਕੇ ਹੁਣ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਅਣਜਾਣ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
