I may act mature but I still choose Ferris wheel rides in summer fair for a date over dinner in some fancy restaurant.

Ferris wheel

Once there was a girl and a guy
Who thought, Ferris wheel would make them fly.
Together they held hands.
But God had other plans.
Endless circle. They begged for a goodbye.

The dazzling lights on the wheel of joy,
Those rotations that it gradually does,
Indicates the spare truth of life,
The down you go, the up you rise
You just need to keep moving on.

From rollercoaster ride all together
To serendipity over ferris wheel.
I spun all the way in those teacups,
When you made me go
Merry go round on you.

Horror is a whirl wind
That gheraoed her
All of a sudden and
Squeeze him like dinosaurs!

Fireworks
With the spinning colors of
the ferris wheel, I lost sight of
your blue eyes.
Amidst the crowd, the sound
of your laughter dissipated into
a loud chatter as I took in whiffs of
fair food on makeshift stalls.
The welcoming aroma of
smoky hot dogs stuffed in rolls
washed up nostalgia against my skin;
sweet candyfloss on sticks
looking forward to be held
in sticky fingers and moist lips,
brought back the flavors of
you in my mouth.
But when the fireworks blew up
in the air, against the moonlight
I saw your image, glistening
like an angel, as your ruffled hair,
smiling cheeks and open arms
vanished once again into the
stretched out, cloudy sky.
Fireworks —
like you, resplendent and bright,
last for a short time.

What a wonder
A ferris wheel is!
Up and down,
It goes around.
You may think
You are at the top.
But then it turns
And there you are,
At the down!
It is the only thing
That resembles life.
Both are complex
But ensures a thrill ride.

Sitting
on whirling ferris wheel,
her hair flying,
she tasted a melting Popsicle
and freedom.

Going high and low
Like a ferris wheel
It flies around
Like a feather in wind
It slowly drifts away,
Like no care in the world.

With its fixed and grounded axis
On which no one needs a heel,
Up and down, it turns around,
Side to side, it spins along,
Upward and downward,
Sinking and floating like putting
bread in water.
