When the people dressed
In ironed attire
Will stand in the same line as
Those in torn clothes,
My country will gain
Independence
When the daughters will walk
Confidently on lonely lanes
Without carrying pepper spray
In the folds of their sarees,
My country will gain
Independence
When the youth will break free
From the shackles of silence
When the black money won't be
Divided among the cackling shadows,
My country will gain
Independence.-

Perhaps this is what contentment is.
Sitting in a cosy home after a long day;
A book in one hand, your hand in the other,
Sipping coffee brewed with gentle love,
Sleep in our eyes, thick as the morning fog.
