I wish to have an abode
nearby a shore of tranquility.
Where I can ear the chirping of birds.
Watch the sun tearing through the clouds.
See the moon, rising in the evenings,
radiating the crimson tinge to the sky.
Admire & count the flickering stars at night.
Stroll along the shore, pressing the cool, wet,
fine sand underneath my feet.
Sense the gliding of water with delight.
Feel the air sweep, tweaking each cell of my body.
Collect the shells in a hope to find a pearl.
A cotillon, wherein to my dumbbell melodies, the pisces,
the passerines and the palm trees frolick with dexterity.
The pleasant ambiance to be my partner.
A demesne where I can sense my soul in profundity.
A dream to be always dreamt of.-
I stomp sandcastles
by the seashore,
crushing my hopes
one footprint at a time.-
I'll still hope the sea calls out to me again.
I'll wait for it to pacify it's rumble and caress my shadow one last time.

Sitting in the seashore
and watching the waves
come and kiss the shore,
to roll back into the sea
only to come back with
renewed fresh waves,
to rekiss the shore
once again,
reteaches the lesson
that we don't need
a dumbbell to strenthen
our hope of success,
as long as we try
to keep retrying....-
I open the newspaper,
the morning tea for me,
the wake up call from an ill routined sleep
I stare groggily at the pages
apart from the red of the brazen violence
and grey of the wicked politics,
there is a news article that catches my attention
I put on my glasses,
multitudes of turtles hurtling toward the sea
from the rosy sea shore
the Olive Ridley turtles
painstakingly cared for
and hatched
on a beach in Odisha
the picture was enough
to bring out a smile,
a feeling of peaceful content
I could imagine them
springing with life anew
plunging into the sea water
and where the newspaper on other days
felt ominously heavy, like the dumbells of a grotesque world
today it was easy for me to carry
dumbells of hope-
I always loved a long, peaceful walk,
Especially with you by my side
You knew that all too well, my love.
By the seashore, holding hands,
One moment we were smiling.
What had gotten into you?
You were being nicer than usual.
Little did I know, that it was serene,
Only for a storm to later follow.
The weight of your words,
Felt like a dumbbell dropped on my heart.
It was all too surreal, you and I,
Now I feel like a fool, unable to cope.
And yet, against all odds, I still hope...

deep sea swim...-
