It was very unexpected, but true. After facing a massive heart attack he passes away in Kolkata. After a live show at Nazrul Manch on Tuesday he went back to his hotel. There he felt ill. He was brought to a hospital. There he was declared dead.
Dear KK, we will miss you always but remember you through your songs. Bollywood lost a white pearl. May his soul get rest and peace.

June began startling me with your demise early morning. Losing a legend, an ace musician like you feels like heartbreak on loop. Like a personal loss. No matter what I do throughout the day, the fact that you are no more, keeps buzzing in my mind and stinging my heart all the more. All my mind keeps shouting out loud, is "How could this happen to you? Why you? Why now? "
